3 Persija Players Called Up for Indonesia National Team, While Persib Has No Representatives
A total of 27 players were called up by coach Shin Tae-yong to prepare for two exciting matches in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. Indonesia is set to face off against Japan on November 15, followed by a clash with Saudi Arabia on November 19. Both games will take place at the iconic Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.
These 27 players come from 22 different clubs, representing both local teams and international clubs from all over the world. Among these clubs are big names like Borneo FC, Persis Solo, FC Dallas, and even European teams like Venezia, Wolverhampton Wanderers U-21, and NEC Nijmegen.
Leading the lineup, Persija Jakarta is proudly sending three of their top players to represent Indonesia: Rizky Ridho, Witan Sulaeman, and Muhammad Ferrari. Persija is the only team with three players in the squad, proving their strong commitment to fostering national talent.
Following Persija, clubs like Persis Solo, Malut United, and Dewa United are each contributing two players to the squad:
- Persis Solo: Muhammad Riyandi and Ramadhan Sananta
- Malut United: Yance Sayuri and Yakob Sayuri
- Dewa United: Ricky Kambuaya and Egy Maulana Vikri
Borneo FC and PSS Sleman have one player each in the lineup. Nadeo Argawinata will represent Borneo FC, while Hokky Caraka from PSS Sleman rounds out the local contributions.
In total, 11 players in the squad are from local Indonesian clubs, while a whopping 16 players are from clubs abroad, reflecting Indonesia’s growing presence in international leagues.
